This pathfinder will help you fulfill the requirements of the World War II World History SOL. You will choose one area of focus for your project- major leaders during WWII, the Holocaust, or the worldwide impact of WWII. No matter what focus you choose make sure it is an area that interests you.
You can navigate through the pages of this pathfinder using the dropdown menu at the top of the page or the buttons on each page.
As you conduct your research keep in mind that you are not isolated in a protective bubble when you are on the internet, but you are part of the the digital world. As someone who is part of the digital world it is your responsibility to be a good digital citizen. We have discussed plagiarism and evaluating resources (CRAAP test) in other pathfinders, but we want you to start this project by focusing on all of what being a good digital citizen entails from safety, to etiquette, to all other aspects of digital citizenship. Watch the video below before you begin your research.
As you work through this project keep all elements of being a good digital citizen in mind. You are responsible for your digital footprint, always keep in mind that once you say something it is public and can always be retrieved by someone. Keep your digital footprint clean, colleges and employers CAN and DO Google you and look at your social media. Do not let a joke with friends today become a mistake that follows you forever.
Before you begin your project learn about finding and using images on this page. You must review this page before you use any picture in your project. You are expected to cite every image used in your project. You may also want to consider licensing your work. This was mentioned in the Digital Citizenship video above. You will learn more about licensing your work on the Images and Licensing Work page.
The best thing you can do as you are researching is keep track of where you have found your information and images. If you choose to use EasyBib put the citation for everything you read in there as you read it or for each image as you find it. When you work on your project you can go back to your EasyBib bibliography and see what resources you found and where you found them. Remember, giving credit to others when you use their work is part of good digital citizenship.
